Ever since I posted the Breast Cancer Awareness inspired outfit I’ve been approached by people with the same request. The inquiries came in different forms: text message, email, Facebook, you name it. Before starting this blog I was sure I wouldn’t cross over to the beauty department for two simple reasons: One, I’m not a makeup artist or hair stylist (although my bathroom shelf looks more like a beauty supply store) and two, I’m very self-aware when it comes to things I don’t do well. Or at least not well enough to be passing along. Trust me, I’ve mentioned this here before.  If doing hair was my gift I wouldn’t look like Tina Turner’s younger sister after every blow dry. Disasters be left aside, you guys have encouraged me to leave my insecurities good sense behind and give this beauty thing a shot. Wish me (and yourself luck in case you feel compelled to try the donut bun) on my new endeavor.

Without further ado, here’s my very first video tutorial:

You’ve watched the video and if you still wanna give this a go here’s what you’ll need:

  •   Scissors
  •   A sock (a long one)
  •   Hair brush
  •   Hair band
  •   Hair spray

Wanna know how the heck I made my sock look like a donut? Easy breezy! Here’s how:

Like what you saw? Was this useful? Did it get a big laugh out of you? (I know, I’m hilarious) Whatever reason you’d wanna see more of this, stay tuned. Oh yeah, there’s more in the making.

  • FLA! You did awesome! I’ve never seen this before, I loved your tutorial!

    • Wow coming from you, the tutorial queen that is just so flattening. Thanks, Fran!

  • Great camera work….and who is that singing? What a great musician!!! ;) ;)

    Love ya

  • ok first of all, I’m happy to hear you sing again:) lol and second i’m even happier that it’s that song, I love that song:) and third….that’s creative. lol I would never think to put a sock in my hair.

    • First of all, Thanks for all the compliments. I’d glad to be back doing what I most love in the world, acting, singing, writing and fashion. Second, that song is so cute, but it does make me sad to know Claudinho died and that was their last hit :( . Third, I can’t take credit for the idea. It’s all over youtube and pinterest. But I do like my own take on it. :) Forth, I love you!

Vc deveria colocar VC MESMA cantando…
    amei!
    bjos

Bjao

  • Amei a dica. Parabens.

  • [...] Post #1: Nesse post resolvi me aventurar como cabeleleira.

I love reading all the juice you spill on here, but to keep things clean and neat, spams and four letter words will be wiped off. Chop-chop!
