Parque Lage is a historical must see in Rio de Janeiro, which just happens to be the official host for the next Olympic games. I had to stop by for a stroll this summer while visiting. Build in the 1920′s the old mansion is now home to the School of Visual Arts and also a great spot to get yummy breakfast (at the cozy café overlooking the pool), appreciate multiple art exhibitions, set-up a picnic on the grass, or just sit outside and enjoy a book while looking at a gorgeous view of the Christ statue.
