There were so many beautiful images we captured and little space to share them, so I selected a few of my favorite for what will be the last from mexico. When people ask me how Mexico was I have to say it was nothing short of amazing. You can find so many great deals online these days it’s definitely worth considering. My best pointer? All inclusive is the way to go in Cancun.

Our nights in Mexico consisted of dining on some delicious Mexican dishes, walking about the resort as we felt the light ocean breeze, grabbing a drink or two at the sushi bar and just enjoying each other’s company. A bit boring, I know. But we decided to leave the clubbing night scene for next time.

It’s never that simple to pick something right to wear at the beach. At least not for me. Especially if it calls for something that works both on the sand and the surroundings. This was a day of exploring around Isla Mujeres (a 20-min ferry ride from Cancun). We grabbed a golf cart and drove around the island to see what we could discover. Never in my life have I seen such crystal clear blue ocean.

It’s been a while since I last shared an outfit post here. One of the reasons being lack of time. In Cancun I had enough time to spare and since my husband and I carried the camera everywhere, we managed to capture shots that will help compose just a few outfit posts. On this particular day we lounged at a beautiful park known as xcaret. For the hot and sunny weather, I wore something light and casual enough to walk around as we explored the area. Swimsuit underneath, of course!

Two days ago my husband and I returned from what we’ve agreed was a second honeymoon. Cancun was extremely relaxing and indulging. It was our first all-inclusive experience and I’ve gotta say, not too shabby! Most of our days were spent laying out in the sun and bravely diving into the mexican cousine. When I shut my eyes I can still see the turquoise blue water and feel the ice cold pinã colada wrapped in my hand. Dream of paradise!

Back in the US. I haven’t had much time to enjoy “home” as I was surprised by Elliott and almost immediately taken away to spend a few days at the West Baden Springs Resort. It being my first time there I didn’t know what to expect. I was amazed with the history this place carries. It was built in 1902 and it had been closed to the public since 1989 in complete decay before a big restoration in ’07. Between walks through the English garden, celebratory meals, and chilling by the library fireplace I found myself lost in time for a sec. Definitely worth the visit.

My final destination before I return to Chicago. São Paulo has been very welcoming. No rain (what?), incredible food, fashion week and great times with great friends. I’m lucky like that.
