Oh Paris ! You were everything I expected and more. Robinson and I were very happy to finally meet you. Just in case you were wondering what we did, what we ate and what we saw, I put together a personal guide to the city of lights. From enjoying a picnic at the Eiffel Tower to finding the best, most breathtaking view of the city, check out my guide to Paris below.

Europe : 01

If you follow me on instagram you know I’ve done nothing in the past few weeks but post photos of our first vacation in Europe. After months of planning and working so hard on my film, two weeks in Europe sounded ideal. We visited Paris for a week ( post to follow ) but it wasn’t until we arrived at Chateau d’Esclimont ( just an hour outside of the city ) that Robinson and I entered level of relaxation we were looking for or what I’ve been calling “The Beauty and the Beast” vacation zone.

Picture Perfect Shoot

Flavia Borges 1

It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Work has been calling and I have to say, I’m so not a juggler! Instagram has been my outlet for the latest happenings in my career, so if you miss seeing weekly posts here, make sure to get o daily dose of Flavia on there.

So, what are these pictures all about? I’ve been working on a few projects these past few weeks, one of them being a short film called Picture Perfect. These are from a photo shoot session for the film.

I got lucky enough to work once again with a friend photographer, Francisco Rojas. I honestly don’t know what’s like to be photographed by someone  I don’t know anymore and I’m sure the outcome has everything to do with that.

More photos from the filming day will come soon followed by more details about the film (as much as I’m allowed to share).

ps: Did you notice my extra-long lashes? For a photo shoot it definitely gave that dramatic effect we were looking for, but would you wear something that drastic for say,  a girls night out?

Sam’s Little Place

Remember when I said Samantha Balk lived in the cutest (and coziest) apartment ever known to anyone? Now you don’t have to take my word for it.

If you follow her on instagram (and if you don’t, you really should) you’re probably very familiar with these beautiful frames accenting her dining space.

Sam operates her business from home, making it very understandable why she would wanna keep everything very neat and organized. Not to mention the attention to detail.

And I’m not the only one who agrees she has a knack for interior decorating. The girls at Refinery29 were quite impressed themselves.

Anyone out there inspired? I’m ready to rearrange some furniture! This brings us to the end of our “date with Sam” session. Hope you enjoyed getting to know this amazing girl, her dog Otis and her sweet little place!

homemaker 1950s 3

Last year we decided for the first time we’d do Christmas cards. As you can see, we had fun shooting and yes, the pecan pie went straight into the bellies once the clicks were done. And since I had only shared a couple of shots from this 1950’s inspired shoot, I figured, why show more? It’s my favorite anyways!

Las Noches

Oasis Palm Night5

Our nights in Mexico consisted of dining on some delicious Mexican dishes, walking about the resort as we felt the light ocean breeze, grabbing a drink or two at the sushi bar and just enjoying each other’s company. A bit boring, I know.  But we decided to leave the clubbing night scene for next time.

Two days ago my husband and I returned from what we’ve agreed was a second honeymoon. Cancun was extremely relaxing and indulging. It was our first all-inclusive experience and I’ve gotta say, not too shabby! Most of our days were spent laying out in the sun and bravely diving into the mexican cousine. When I shut my eyes I can still see the turquoise blue water and feel the ice cold pinã colada wrapped in my hand. Dream of paradise!
