This time around I took the afternoon to visit Forte de Copacabana. Another touristy spot in Rio but very worth the hype. The view to the Copacabana beach is kind of surreal and makes me question how in the world could I leave a city that has something like that to look at and reminds me why I keep coming back to visit every year.

Parque Lage is a historical must see in Rio de Janeiro, which just happens to be the official host for the next Olympic games. I had to stop by for a stroll this summer while visiting. Build in the 1920’s the old mansion is now home to the School of Visual Arts and also a great spot to get yummy breakfast (at the cozy café overlooking the pool), appreciate multiple art exhibitions, set-up a picnic on the grass, or just sit outside and enjoy a book while looking at a gorgeous view of the Christ statue.
Today I wrap up my stay in Rio. It’s great to be back and know it still feels like home. This place deserves the tittle of wonderful city because it is indeed. If you ever get a chance to visit, please don’t pass! Just like saying bye to Rio, it was difficult saying bye to the fashion scene. Hard to think of two other words that go so well together: Fashion Rio. Take a peek at what the last day at the lounges was like.
Next destination? Curitiba. Remember to follow on twitter (@flaviarobinson) and instagram (@luluabroad) for frequent travel updates.
As promised, here’s the first sporadic update from Rio. Aside from feeling very sick for the last two days (leave it to me to wait till after I left Chicago) it’s been incredible. Fashion Rio is in full swing and the city looks as beautiful as I remember.

Flight leaves in a few hours for my annual month-long-visit in my native Brazil. While I’ll try to keep you guys posted with sporadic blog updades, my access to the internet could stay limited so it won’t be the usual three times a week ordeal. Great! You get a vacation too (from me) and it’s all good. However if you miss me too much (please try not to cry) you’re welcome to sporadically stop by and see what’s happening in Brazil while I’m gone. You may follow me on twitter (@flaviarobinson) or instagram (@luluabroad) for frequent updates.
Au revoir Beijo tchau!

Have you ever seen a celebrity wear something and instantly desired that item so much like your
life wardrobe was incomplete without it? That’s what I call the Kardashian kurse and how I spotted something almost identical to this heart graphic t-shit (and my cat-eye Tom Ford and lots of other things). Khloe Kardashian on one of their half-a-dozen television shows. I like to think I’m not alone. Right?
