DEVELOPING a new relationship with food and learning the true value of maintaining a healthy, balanced diet. In the last few months Elliott and I have been committed to trying new recipes and ingredients. It’s a huge learning curve but we’re definitely seeing results and feeling good about it.
LOVING the freshness that our newly purchased plants add to the environment. Just gotta remember to water them every other day.
ENJOYING the last breath of winter, but only if it snows. Just like it did last week in Chicago.
Right now, this is how Chicago looks like from my window. And so I had to interrupt my vocal warm-up to capture a few images. As beautiful as it looks, I can’t stop wishing I didn’t have to brave this weather outside.
I’m wearing: burlington coat factory jacket, jcrew men’s shirt, echo scarf, seven for all mankind jeans, sorel boots, topshop mittens
Lucky for me, it snowed like crazayyy in Chicago this past weekend. Surely I can affirm to have never seen this much in my entire life. It was seriously beautiful (and freezing but who cares). Other than the fact that I almost smashed my face on the ice twice (can’t tell the difference between soft snow and slippery ice yet, but promise to pay more attention next time) we had a blast playing in and sampling the powdery snow. It wasn’t yellow though, and that I can tell.
I’m wearing:bailey 44 dress, forever 21 jacket, lori’s socks, hunter boots, store b vintage hat
Nope, you’re not crazy nor am I wearing hair extensions. It just happens to be from before Christmas (sorry about the delay in posting). My hair remains short and healthy (for now anyways). How excited was I to be stepping on actual snow? No words can describe it. But I’ll try: it’s a feeling of taking ownership in wearing a fur hat, high stockings and rain boots at once. Get it?
